“Amber Prix” 2023
In 2023, the international bodybuilding and fitness tournament “Amber Prix” was held in Klaipeda, Lithuania. The event took place during a challenging period when international sports activities continued to be affected by the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. These circumstances created difficulties in travel, logistics, and international sporting exchanges, influencing both the organization of competitions and the participation of athletes from various countries.
Immediately after the “Amber Prix” in Klaipeda, the WFF–WBBF European Championship was organized in the neighboring Latvian city of Liepaja. In the same year, upon the initiative of Ukrainian representatives, Dr. Edmundas Daubaras, President of the WFF–WBBF International Federation, was awarded the UNESCO title of “Ambassador of Peace.”
Despite the complex international situation, the WFF–WBBF Federation continued its activities in different regions of the world. International championships and events were organized in Pakistan, Brazil, Paraguay, and other countries. In 2023, Dr. Edmundas Daubaras also participated in a seminar held in Vilnius, where he presented current developments and issues in international bodybuilding.
