1947 „MR. UNIVERSE“ IN AMERICA.
In 1947 famous USA bodybuilder ERIK PEDERSEN (Charles Roland Putnam, 1928-1990) participated at A.A.U. „Mr. America“ and was second after STEVE REEVES (Stephen Lester Reeves, 1926-2000). ERIK PEDERSEN took part at the first in bodybuilding history “Mr. Universe” contest that was held in 1947 in America. The contest was organized by BOB HOFFMAN (Robert Collins Hoffman, 1898-1985) through the F.I.H. (Federation Internationale Halterophile) which was a member of the International Olympic Committee (I.O.C.). Then ERIK PEDERSEN took the third place after STEVE STANKO (1917 – 1978) and JOHN FARBOTNIK (1925-1998).
