VISIT TO POLISH CITIES – DAYS OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND HISTORIC RECOGNITION.

These days became a significant period in the history of the World WFF-WBBF Federation, marked by international meetings, new cooperation plans and a distinguished recognition.

In early May 2018, Dr. Edmundas Daubaras, President of the World WFF-WBBF Federation – World Fitness Federation (WFF) and World Body Building Federation (WBBF) – visited Poland.

During the visit, plans for future international events were coordinated, relations with Polish municipal, public and academic institutions were developed, and new directions for international cooperation were discussed.

MEETINGS IN POLISH CITIES

During his visit, Dr. Edmundas Daubaras travelled to Kraków, Bydgoszcz and Tarnowskie Góry. Meetings were held with city leaders, local government representatives and members of the academic community.

Particular attention was devoted to the prospects for organizing international events and to opportunities for closer cooperation in the fields of sport, public activities and international projects.

An important part of the visit was a meeting with Prof. Helena Czakowska, Ph.D., Rector of the Józef Ratzinger University KPSW (Joseph Ratzinger University KPSW). The meeting with representatives of the academic community provided another opportunity to discuss the development of international relations and possible joint projects for the future.

Such meetings were an integral part of WFF-WBBF's international activities. The Federation has sought not to limit its work solely to sporting competitions, but also to build a broader network of international cooperation connecting sports, public, cultural and academic institutions.

DISTINGUISHED RECOGNITION OF INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES

A special ceremony also took place during the visit to Poland.

For his active international public service, Dr. Edmundas Daubaras was solemnly awarded the historic Order of St. Stanislauw.

The award was presented during a solemn ceremony in a church. This moment became one of the most important highlights of the visit and a symbolic recognition of his international activities.

The history of the Order of Saint Stanislaw, Bishop and Martyr, dates back to the 18th century. Historical sources indicate that the order was established on May 7, 1765, by the last King of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Stanisław August Poniatowski.

The history of the order is closely connected with the era of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, its political and social traditions, and the honoring of distinguished individuals. For this reason, an award associated with its name and tradition carries particular historical and symbolic significance.

HISTORY THAT CONTINUES

Dr. Edmundas Daubaras' visit to Poland was more than an ordinary international trip. It was a combination of meetings focused on the future and moments of historic recognition.

Kraków, Bydgoszcz and Tarnowskie Góry became places where international relations were strengthened and new cooperation plans were developed. Meetings with city leaders, representatives of the academic community and other public figures demonstrated that sport can serve as an important platform for international dialogue and human solidarity.
