One of the bodybuilding pioneers in Russia was film star and circus artist IGOR PERTUCHIN (1945, Moscow, Russia). In the seventies of the last century he participated at twelve competitions. In 1966 the first U.S.S.R. International Bodybuilding Contest was held in Vilnius (Lithuania). Among the top participants was IGOR PETRUCHIN.

Lithuania bodybuilder VINCAS DUBICKAS participated since 1968 until 1989. He was multiple Over All Champion of the „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарный приз», 1983, 1984) as well as many other contests. Best result of VINCAS DUBICKAS was the Over All Title at the 1989 U.S.S.R. Championship.
