PREDRAG MILOSEVIC informed about new fitness movement in Balkan Countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzogovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Montenegro, North Macedonia, European Turkey, Romania, Croatia and Serbia). PREDRAG MILOSEVIC plans to collect National Teams of Balkan Countries to the 35-th WORLD AM-Pro CHAMPIONSHIP in Lithuania (October 5, 2024).

Since 2010 metų India is very active at International Bodybuilding Sport. The National federation of India is led by Professor LALIT KUMAR SONI. Since 2010 President of International W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) Federation DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS visited India nineteen times. Since that time India organized 8 Asia Championships, „World Grand Prix“ and „Universe“ Competitions.

Today sad news reached us. Suddenly died a famous Bodybuilder of Denmark and I.F.B.B. Pro (International Federation of Body Builders) KRISTOFFER BERNER. He was fourty years old. Rest In Peace FRIEND.

WORLD BODYBUILDING ENCYCLOPEDIA.

1989. I.F.B.B. WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, PARIS.

During all bodybuilding history the 1989 I.F.B.B. World Championship was one uncomparibable event. During the years only two International bodybuilding events were of so high level. It was the famous of sexual scandals 2004 I.F.B.B. World Championship in Moscow (Russian Federation) and the 2011 W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) World Championship in Viena (Austria). During the eighties of the last Century the International W.A.B.B.A. (World Amateur Body Building Association) ruling structure was like this: President RENAUT ROBINET and General Secretary AKLI CHABENI. Both mentioned persons together with formal I.F.B.B. Vice President and Creator of the W.A.B.B.A. association (it was created in 1976) SERGE NUBRET were working on the 1989 W.A.B.B.A. World Championship in Paris. That time the sponsors were really very big. Some way the I.F.B.B. President BEN WEIDER invited RENAUT ROBINET to his house in Canada. After this visit RENAUT ROBINET declared that he is leaving W.A.B.B.A. and starts working with the I.F.B.B.. As all preliminary work for the 1989 W.A.B.B.A. World Championship was done RENAUT ROBINET announced that he is organizing the I.F.B.B. World Championship in Paris instead of W.A.B.B.A. now. This action of RENAUT ROBINET made awfull strike on SERGE NUBRET and he never reached the previous W.A.B.B.A. level again. After the 1989 I.F.B.B. World Championship in Paris RENAUT ROBINET got no preferences from BEN WEIDER. So he left I.F.B.B. and never appeared in bodybuilding again and was forgotten for ever. Through the years is evident that no International Bodybuilding Organizations around the World ever made any other bodybuilding  contest which is worth to notice. Nothing to compare.

Those bodybuilders of the Lithuanian SSR who neglected the orders of the Olympic Committee of the Lithuanian SSR (L.T.O.K.) were included to the U.S.S.R. Team and participated at the 1989 I.F.B.B. World Championship in Paris. They were not successfull at the competition as all U.S.S.R. team too.

The Chairmen of the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ («Федерация культуризма С.С.С.Р.») were angry about Lithuanian aims to get independant I.F.B.B. membership. They did not include the Vice Chairman of the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS to the U.S.S.R. delegation to go to Paris again.

During the 1989 „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Championship“ («Чемпионат С.С.С.Р. по культуризму») in Leningrad DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was invited as a Personal Guest of BEN WEIDER to the World Championship in Paris. Their common correspondance went on and BEN WEIDER let DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS take any member of the National Bodybuilding Federation of the Lithusnisn SSR together with him to Paris. Thinking of support about the membership in the I.F.B.B. federation DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS took ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS with him. Both Lithuanians came to France separate from the U.S.S.R. delegation. Later DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS regreted about his decission. During several meetings with the emigrants of the old 1918 Lithuanian Republic ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS behaved rude towards independance of Lithuania.

Delegations of various countries lived in the famous Paris „La Fayette“ hotel. The contest was also organized at a huge „La Fayette“ Palace. Just before the I.F.B.B. World Championship BEN WEIDER invited Lithuanians to his appartments in „La Fayette“ penthouse. The Assistant of BEN WEIDER PAMELA KAGAN (Canada) was also present at the discussion then. The discussion lasted very long. With BEN WEIDER spoke DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS did not knew languages and even did not understand what both were speking about. Finally another assistant of BEN WEIDER RAFAEL SANTONJA entered the room and said that BEN WEIDER is needed down at the contest as the competitions are nearly to finish and it is high time to present award to the Over All World Champion. BEN WEIDER and DSC. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS agreed to go on discussing matters via later correspondance.

The 1989 I.F.B.B. World Championship Category Winners were ACHMED MOHMED (Egypt), VAN VALCOT SMITH (USA), BERNARD SEALY (Barbados) FRANK HILEBRAND (West Germany), JEAN LUC FAVRE (Switzerland).

There was a banquet in „La Fayette“ after the competition. BEN WEIDER sat DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS close to him and presented him to the Heads of the delegations of various countries. DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS got many new International contacts. Being drunk at the banquet ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS decided to „fight for Lithuanian Independance“ and quarreled with Vice Chairman of the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Fdereation“ VLADIMIR DUBININ (Владимир Дубинин). He accused VLADIMIR DUBININ about not taking him to I.F.B.B. Events in Australia (1988) and France (1989). It was DSc. CONTEMPORARY FEDERATIONS. WHAT IS IT?

Lots of bodybuilding federations today fool athletes and international sport society. It seems that athletes do not think at all. We will try to explain the essence and make clever people start thinking.

I.F.B.B. SPORT FEDERATION. BELGRADE CONGRESS.

THERE WERE NO FEDERATIONS UNTIL 1970.

We are presenting very detailed articles about various International federations in the „World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia“ («Энциклопедия Всемирного Культуризма»). Today the closest to real sport still is I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) federation. During the last thirty years many information is published in various languages in the International Site www.wff.lt as well as in our magazines „Sport of Bodybuilding and Fitness“ („Sportinis fitnesas ir kultūrizmas“, «Спортивный фитнес и культуризм»). Due to the big amount of facts we will publishe now shortly only main items. And even this way we will publishe materials in parts as the contemporary informational systems like „facebook“ do not alow to publishe long texts.

In 1969 the I.O.C. (International Olympic Committee) member F.I.H.C., (Federation Internationale Halterophile et Culturiste, later I.W.F., International Weightlifting Federation) federation refused to lead on the World‘s bodybuilding sport.

Time was running. The I.F.B.B. was not a sport federation. It was a private company. OSCAR STATE (1911 - 1984) thought that World‘s bodybuilding needed to set an International Sport Federation which will seek membership of the G.A.I.S.F. (General Association of International Sports Federations). We have no answer why the F.I.H.C. General Secretary OSCAR STATE started working with the businessmen JOE and BEN WEIDERS. For many years OSCAR STATE was working in F.I.H.C. together with BOB HOFFMAN (Robert Collins Hoffman, 1898 - 1985 m.)  and it was logical to go on working with him. Being professional in the official sport matters OSCAR STATE decided to establishe under International sport requirements a new International bodybuilding organization and that was the I.F.B.B.. By the way, undeR the intentions of BOB HOFFMAN in 1963 and in 1968 through F.I.H.C. in the U.S.S.R. was established the „International Bodybuilding organization“ (Comission). The U.S.S.R. was outside of the „Iron Wall“ then and due to political reasons the organization could not work together with the „West“. About this we will speak later.

Taking as an example the F.I.H.C. OSCAR STATE wrote the I.F.B.B. Constitution and the contest rules. He tought WEIDER brothers what to do and how to do. In 1970 OSCAR STATE  was leading the I.F.B.B. Congress in Belgrade (Yugoslavia). It is not clear why it was chosen Yugoslavia for this event.

Belgrade Congress changed the World‘s bodybuilding history for the folowing decades. During the first official I.F.B.B. Congress the official I.F.B.B. sport federation was set: (I.F.B.B. International Congress, September 4, 1970 m., Belgrade, Yugoslavia, get original documents: http://www.ifbbpro.com/1970-congress/ and in the „MUSCLE BUILDER/POWER“, June, 1971).

During five hours lasting Congress the I.F.B.B. Constitution and contest rules were presented and accepted. OSCAR STATE preposed to ellect BEN WEIDER  as the „I.F.B.B. life President „ and everybody agreed. This gave BEN WEIDER extraordinary power to rule the federation.

Personal abilities of OSCAR STATE were the main things to lead the new I.F.B.B. federation to the I.O.C. and G.A.I.S.F.. It opened financial support of Sport Ministries of the Socialist and Asia Countries to the I.F.B.B.. It lasts until now.

According the Congress documents plus to the I.F.B.B. President BEN WEIDER the I.F.B.B. Chairmen („I.F.B.B. Directors“) were on the lead together. That were JOE WEIDER (Chief Director) and JULLIEN BLOMMAERT (Belgium) too.

Russian bodybuilder VALERIJ LOKTIONOV (Валерий Локтионов) since 1987 until 2007 participated at the various contests. His ves results were the 5-th places at the 1987, 1988 „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарный приз», 1968 – 2024); 2-d place at the 2003 W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) Senior Europe Championaship čempionate and the 1-st place at the 2004 W.F.F. – W.B.B.F.  Senior Europe Championship.
