Today the International Federation W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) unites 140 Country-Members from all Continents. Every year W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. holds over 60 International Events in various Countries.

International  informes, that right atfter the seria of  International Bodybuilding Mega Events (57-th „Amber Prix International“, 25-th AM and Pro „Universe“, Europe AM and Pro Championship and World Grand Prix, May 10-13, 2024, Klaipeda, Vilkaviskis, Vilnius) Official Meeting of the Heads W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International  will be organized in the Palace of Parliament Republic Lithuania in Vilnius City  (May 13, 2024).

LITHUANIA STATE NEWS AGENCY ELTA. INTERNATIONAL PRESS CONFERENCE.

After the Official Parliamen Meeting of Heads W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International  the International Press Conference will be held at the Lithuania State News Agency ELTA.

W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. ALWAYS WAS NON KOMMERCIAL SPORT ORGANIZATION.

During the sixty years of it‘s activities the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. always kept on the real official sport side. Though there were various political and economical dificulties, the federation never stopped working (read historical articles on the International Site www.wff.lt).

W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. athletes always had possibilities to seek the highest titles at the International recognized official contests. Historic statistics prove the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. is a prestigeous International Federation among all federations. One can organize several successfull competitions, but it is not the same as the sixty years of serious stable work. The power of the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. – sixty years of constant International Sport work.

Today the valuables of the mankind changed. For most people money means everything. No morality, only money and lies. Today most of International Sport Organizations are commercial. Even WADA (World Anti Doping Agency) seeks profit and this is the reason that not every International Sport Organization can join WADA. Such mentioned above organizations  proclame commerce, not sport. It is a theater of absurd we were writing about this many times before.

W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. will remain conservative and it will not follow other commercial sport organizations.  W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. will remain on the real sport side and this is our priority.  Yes, sometimes we are in a clumsy financial situation, but it happens sometimes, not always.

In difference to other organizations W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. collaborates with the recognized International Sport Institutions, National Governmental Structures and representatives of all religions. All of them notice and valuate the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. activities. We see the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. as a strong friendly unit and this is our power.

MAJOR CUP VILKAVISKIS

Today since 1968 uniting 140 Country-members W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) International in various Countries arrange over sixty International events every year.

On May 12, 2024 first time in Lithuania sport history City Vilkaviskis will host Great International events – the 44-th AM-Pro „World Grand Prix“ and „Major Cup Vilkaviskis“. Competitions in Vilkaviskis will be held just after the May 11-th, 2024 International Events in Klaipeda: 57-th „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарный приз», 1968 - 2024) and 28-th Europe AM-Pro Championships.

1989. „AMBER PRIX INTERNATIONAL“.

„Amber Prix International“ was held together with the 2-d „U.S.S.R. Junior Championship“. Seeing intentions of the „Lithuanian SSR Bodybuilding Federation“ ( „Lietuvos kultūrizmo federacija“) to enter the I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) as a separate and independant  from the U.S.S.R. member, Chairmen of the „U.S.S.R. bodybuilding Federation“ («Федерация культуризма С.С.С.Р.») did their best to organize official U.S.S.R. competitions in Lithuanian SSR and later in Estonian SSR and Latvian SSR.  At the 1989 Contest participated 154 bodybuilders from 9 Countries: R.S.F.S.R., Belorussian SSR, Ukrainian SSR, Latvian SSR, Lithuanian SSR, Estonian SSR, Kazach SSR, Moldavian SSR, Tadzik SSR. Totally 51 team.

1989 CONTEST „U.S.S.R. – USA“.

On March 18, 1989 the International Contest „U.S.S.R. – USA“ (Матчевая встречя «С.С.С.Р. – США») was organized in Leningrad (R.S.F.S.R.). It was the first time when American bodybuilders came to the U.S.S.R.. Until this the U.S.S.R. bodybuiders knew USA bodybuilders only through the magazines. The organizers of the event from the USA side were LOUIS ZWICK and DAVID ZELON. USA expences were covered by LOUIS ZWICK. For this reason LOUIS ZWICK had taken arisky loan from an American bank. USA was represented by a number of I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) bodybuilders: CARLA DUNLAP, DIANA DENNIS, LAURA BEAUDRY, JEAN PAUL GUILLAUME, TROY ZUCCOLOTTO, REX LETTO. Placings of the 1989 Contest „U.S.S.R. – USA“: Winner JEAN PAUL GUILLAUME, second - TROY ZUCCOLOTTO, third – NIKOLAJ GRISANOV (Belorussian SSR). DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS participated at the competition in Leningrad as a guest. Together with LOUIS ZWICK he managed to run away from K.G.B. (Комитет государственной безопасности С.С.С.Р.) agents and make two films about the training of well known U.S.S.R. top bodybuilders VIKTORAS JUCYS and ROLANDAS BUCINSKAS (both Lithuanian SSR). These films were presented on the USA  E.S.P.N. sport television. These films as well as detailed revue about the event is in various languages on Global Page www.wff.lt .

SECOND CONTEST „U.S.S.R. – USA“.

1989 spring competition „U.S.S.R. – USA“ was very successfull. This was the reason to organize one more contest „U.S.S.R. – USA“ in autumn. This time the event was financed by a businessman and a former USA bodybuilder BILLY PAX. The main U.S.S.R. bodybuilders at this contest were GRISANOV NIKOLAJ (Гришанов Николай, Belorussian SSR) and VASIN ALEKSANDR (Васин Александр, R.S.F.S.R.). From the USA side were SHAWN RAY, LIONEL RANGER and MIKE HARRIS. The winner was NIKOLAJ GRISANOV, second LIONEL RANGER and third MIKE HARRIS.

Today the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation)  International unites 140 Country – Members and organizes nearly 60 annual Amateur and Professional International Events World Wide. Looking from the juridical point of view the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International is no doubt the Real World Bodybuilding Leader.

Crowning it‘s 50 years of  International Bodybuilding activities, the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F.  works on the Unique Global International Bodybuilding Project -  the „World Bodybuilding  Encyclopedia“ («Энциклопедия всемирного культуризма», “Pasaulio kultūrizmo enciklopedija”).

PROHIBITED BODYBUILDING CONTESTS.

During the bodybuilding prohibition in the Socialist World (1973 – 1987) only few brave persons dared to organize competitions. There were only two regular International Bodybuilding Contests in all Socialist World: the „Amber Prix International“ (1968 – 2021, „Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарный приз») organized in Lithuania by DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS and „Georg Tenno Memorial“ (1971 – 1989, «Мемориал Георга Тэнно») organizaed in Estonia by INNAR MARDO.
